Terms & Conditions.

The front door

1. Telephone or e-mail bookings will be provisionally held for 7 days, after which time they will be cancelled if not confirmed by post.

2. A deposit of £150 (non-refundable) is required to secure a booking.

3. The balance should be paid 4 weeks before arrival. For bookings made less than four weeks in advance full payment is required at time of booking.

4. When you book a holiday, you are entering into a legally binding contract. If you have to cancel or cut short your holiday for whatever reason, then you will be liable for any cancellation charges we may have to make. In your best interest, we therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday and cancellation booking insurance to safeguard your holiday.

5. If the property cannot be made available for the period booked due to events beyond the owner's control and the owners are forced to cancel the booking, the whole of the hire charge will be refunded and the hirer will have no further claim against the owner.

6. Acceptable methods of payment are; cheques, cash or GBP travellers cheques.

7. Cheques should be made payable to Mr G MacKenzie.

8. Period of hire commences at 4pm on the day of arrival and ends at 10am on the day of your departure. Hire is on a weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday.)

9. Electricity, fuel (gas, wood & coal), linen and towels are included in the let.

10. Strictly no smoking inside the property.

11. A well-behaved pet is allowed in the property by arrangement. Owners are expected to keep their pets under control and not allow them in the bedrooms or on the furniture.

12. The client agrees to leave the property in the same clean and tidy condition as it was found on arrival.

13. To help us maintain the high standards of the accommodation, clients are asked to respect all furniture, fittings, and equipment, and to report any breakages or damage so that it may be repaired or replaced as soon as possible.

14. For insurance purposes, the number of people occupying the premises must not exceed the number of beds provided in the accommodation.

15. We shall have no liability for any death, personal injury, damage or loss of personal property unless this results from our own negligence.

16. We reserve the right of entry to the house for the purposes of inspection or to carry out repairs or maintenance.
